Will Triplett is a young, (29) award winning singer/songwriter from Alaska, who has opened for major artists such as Pam Tillis, Reba McEntire, John Michael Montgomery, Trace Adkins, and Brooks and Dunn with his band, "Undiscovered Country,"

I presume "Undiscovered Country" (the title track of the album as well as the band name) is his first album release and all 11 tracks on the album are co-penned by Will along with band member and album Producer, Dennis Lind, with an even mix of uptempo and slow ballads. Stand out tracks for me being, "Highway Nights And Interstate Days" a lively road song that I am sure would do well if released as a single, "Brothers & Friends" another good contender for a single release, and the Banjo driven "I Like The Old You" with some lively Fiddle playing, ala Garth Brooks' "Baton Rouge."

Will goes into Travis Tritt mode for the all out rocker "Boys Night Out" a track that he calls the "Hoot And Holler" track, while of the 5 slow ballads on the album, I particularly like "Jenny," a song that tells of a young child growing up through her teenage years,......"Her Daddy Thinks Of How It Used To Be, Jenny Loved To Sit Upon His Knee. They Would Sit For Hours And Watch The Sun Go Down, Now It Seems They Have No Common Ground"........ how many of us have been there!!

On this showing, Will Triplett is a very talented artist, with a sound I would say is heavily influenced by 80s Country Rock band Southern Pacific, sprinkled with a touch of Garth Brooks, Billy Ray Cyrus and Travis Tritt to bring it up to date. What I can't understand is why no one has moved in yet to sign him up!!! He is a good looking young artist with a very modern, high energy sound, but the album is a self produced effort with no label? Check out his website for details of how to get hold of a copy.
