TRAVIS LEDOYT NOT RETURNING TO UK's AMERICANA FESTIVAL
World’s best young Elvis “will return to the UK” says manager
For immediate release March 28, 2007
Travis LeDoyt, touted as the “world’s best young Elvis” will not be returning to the UK’s Americana Festival in 2007 but will be returning to the UK in the near future according to Ledoyt’s manager, Dick McVey.
In a statement released by McVey, he states, “There is a lot of false and untrue information being circulated about Travis LeDoyt and me and Travis's failure to return to the UK for this year’s Americana Festival and I feel obligated to our fans and interested parties there to set the record straight. I want to assure everyone there that the reasons for us not returning to the Americana are simple and have nothing to do with money or greed on our part. The primary reason we are not returning to the Americana stems from the return of the Americana contract from the promoter to us with items stricken from the contract that are essential to us providing the fans with our best show. On our last tour in October 2006 with this same promoter, there were several broken promises and contractual oversights on his part and we didn’t want to return to the Americana without protecting ourselves from these kinds of things happening again. I want to assure the fans that Travis and the band loved performing in the UK and Travis is very appreciative of the outpouring of love and support he received there. He will return to the UK.”
LeDoyt is performing in the UK on April 7, 2007 in Thurso, Scotland at the Easter Festival and is working on several dates in the UK for the future. McVey adds that he doesn’t want the fans in the UK to think LeDoyt will not be returning to the UK, and adds they are looking at several options and offers to return to the UK in the near future. DIAMOND TO HEADLINE BIGGEST COUNTRY FESTIVAL IN EUROPE

British country artist Lucie Diamond and her full UK band will headline
the Mirande Festival in France on 14th July - the biggest country festival
in Europe - to 40,000+ country fans.
Lucie is the only female headliner on the 5 day festival, which attracted
165,000 people last year and is filmed by national French TV.
UK fans will also get to see why she has made a big name for herself
in Nashville, Europe and many other countries, when she takes to the
main stage with her band at The South Will Rise Again festival at Canford
Park Arena near Poole, Dorset on 29th July.
More than 2,000 blues fans are in for a rare treat and some quality
country fare on Sunday 24th June, when Lucie and her band appear at
the annual Blues On The Farm festival near Chichester, Sussex.
Lucie is on the road with her acoustic show right now, and recently
played sell-out shows in Edinburgh and London.
End of this month through to Easter weekend, Lucie visits Dubai and
the Middle East for shows and media promotion.
28th April she appears as "very special guest" at the Phippsville
memorial festival in Northampton, in memory of the late great singer-songwriter
and raconteur Tom Hall, organised by his family.
May will be a busy month for triple award-winner Lucie, when she hits
the road for the BMAD festival on Paignton sea front on 5th, then opens
for her pal Albert Lee on 22nd and 23rd May in Portsmouth. Guitar legend
Albert played on Lucie's 2005 debut hit single.
26th May, Lucie flies to the USA to begin a series of major shows and
finish off her long-awaited album, due for release this summer. On 1st
June she is special guest of hit writer Kent Blazy ("If Tomorrow
Never Comes" and regular Garth collaborator) at what will be her
3rd show at the world famous Bluebird Cafe.
On 4th June she represent the UK at the annual CMA Global Artist Party
in downtown Nashville at The Stage, with full US band. Lucie is the
sole female on the bill of 6 International artists.
On 6th June, "Lucie Diamond and friends" will invade Christopher's
Pizza Co on Music Row for an evening of music and surprises! This will
be her 3rd visit to that venue.
In September, Lucie is booked to headline the Pride of Texas in Belgium
on 8th, with her full UK band - and she headlines the Bristol Acoustic
and Roots festival on 22nd, with her guitarist.
24th Sept to 10th October, Lucie makes her first trip to South Africa
for shows and media promotion, postponed from last year.
More UK and European shows are still to be announced for 2007, and Lucie
is already in demand for overseas festivals in 2008.
