Tresa comes from Portland, Tennessee just northeast of Nashville and this singer/songwriter tours with her band "Street Talk".

Influenced by such artists as Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Tina Turner and Cher, Tresa has developed her own musical style and has a voice that makes you think, "that's someone I've not heard before". The music on the album is very identifiable with modern day living and feelings, which brings a much-needed freshness onto the country scene. Tresa admits to admiring the Pop scene, and it shows through in some of the tracks, but most important is that it is not at the expense of a good country sound. Tresa has the personality and voice to embrace the two styles which will, I am sure, attract younger people and sceptics who think country music is outdated.

This album follows her first album 'Baby It's You' recorded back in 1996.

The album starts with the pop-edged 'Lie To Me' but still retains that country atmosphere and continues with a real country blues number 'Naturally', penned by Tresa. 'Wild About You' gets the feet tapping with this bouncy rock & roll number, where percussion is used to great effect and then we relax and get our breath back with the gentle ballad 'Nobody's An Angel' which leads us into 'Rockin' A Baby' about a woman who wants to rid herself of her immature fella and get a real man.

'I Believe I Can Fly' is a good version of this popular song and then we start to rock it up again as Tresa suggests 'Let's Go Dancing'. '

I Can Count On You' co-written with Mike McDonald, is to me, one of the best tracks on the album. A true country ballad enhanced with the haunting strains of Mike Johnson on pedal steel.

Another self penned number 'Ain't Nothin' Changed' has you tapping along to a nice rhythmic beat and then you hear Tresa's husky, sexy voice used to full effect on 'When He Leaves You'.
Another self-penned number 'That's My Final Answer' tells of a strong willed woman fighting off unwanted advances by a persistent admirer, but sticking with her own man.

The classic 'Love Letters' needs no explanation and 'Somebody Will' gets us bouncing along again in happy mood. 'I Wish' brings the album to a close by telling us things would all come true by 'wishing'. If only that were true!

I found this an excellent album and it blows a breath of fresh air onto the country scene.
Tresa has a unique voice and adapts to any kind of tempo with complete ease. Her voice is strong and powerful on the up-beat numbers (with no shouting) and then soft and appealing on ballads.

The choice of material is excellent and her own compositions show what a fine songwriter she is, and the backing musicians and musical arrangements are of the highest standard. Songs everyone can relate to in today's world, all based on hope and concentrating on the good things in life and happy loving relationships.

Tresa could, and should, be a big name in country music if given the chance. Someone, who could give it a good kick up the pants.
